This hospital was become epicentre of anti-Govt. movement by junior doctors, which was lead by BJP leader cum junior doctor Archisman Bhattacharya. They stopped providing service and protest for their demand for doctor safety. In this case Govt. should start ESPA and force them to come back in work. But in this case, Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called them for meeting, listen their demand and take steps to fulfill their demands. In this way, the so called 'apolitical' doctors' protest come to an end. But after a few days, their leader Archisman Bhattacharya become vocal for BJP party in social media and spreads communal violence as an influencer. In 2021, he directly joins BJP party and proves that the so-called doctors movement was not 'apollitical' as they claimed.
