The First Court in Jhajjar was established in 1919. First Judicial Magistrate, IV-Class posted in 1936. Court of Addl. District & Sessions Judge was established on 13 August 1998 when Jhajjar was a Sub Division and part of the Rohtak Sessions Division. On 06 March 2008, Jhajjar Sessions Division came into existence and the newly built-up complex was inaugurated on the same day by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vijender Jain, Former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. It is situated on State Highway No. SH 15A Jhajjar-Gurugram Road, Near Mini Secretariat, Jhajjar. In Judicial Complex, Jhajjar there is a total of 15 Courtrooms and at present 12 Courts are functioning. There is one Court of District & Sessions Judge and six Courts are of Additional District & Sessions Judges and one Court each of Civil Judge (Senior Division), Chief Judicial Magistrate, Addl. Civil Judge (Senior Division) and two Courts of Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.)-cum-JMIC. A Sub Division is also located at Bahadurgarh at a distance of 30 km away from Jhajjar adjacent to village Balour in Sector 12, Bahadurgarh. It is attached to the National Capital Delhi on National Highway No.10. In Judicial Complex, Bahadurgarh, there are 08 Courtrooms and presently five courts are functioning in the complex i.e. one of Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum-SDJM and four courts of Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-JMIC are functioning. One Family Court of Addl. District & Sessions Judge is functioning at District Headquarter, Jhajjar w.e.f. Monday to Wednesday & Saturday and at Sub Division, Bahadurgarh on Thursday & Friday every week to facilitate the litigants and Advocates.
