The Mount Zion Medical College Hospital, Chayalode P O , Adoor, Pathanamthitta, Kerala was established in the year 2012 by The Charitable Educational and Welfare Society Reg No. Q373/84. The College includes all the clinical Departments, such as Departments of General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhino Laryngology ENT), Anaesthesiology, Radio-diagnosis, Radio therapy, and Dentistry and non clinical Departments such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. A green, calm, quiet and serene area flourished in 32 acres. The Medical College is about 8 kilometres away from Adoor and can be reached by road from Adoor or Pathanapuram. The Medical College is recognized by the Medical University and approved by the Government of Kerala.
One of the nearest medical college hospital to adoor. But the inefficiency in management making this hospital less familiar to the people even in the nearest locations. Doctors are good, but their staffs , mainly administrative and management staffs are below organizational standards. Not proper guidance, no proper sign boards for the directions, some signs boards making people confusing too.Even the hospital have a minimum infrastructure but they are not utilizing and maintaining it properly. Have to improve and highly recommending a business consultant or a well experienced PRO for regular review for this hospital to achieve its standards.
