Its a nice place to visit between Leh and Karu. Entrance fees is 50/- You will have to leave your shoes while entering the main temples. Otherwise you may walk. there is a restaurant in the starting along with a souvenir shop, ( felt bit pricey though) Photography is allowed but no flash as the paintings will get faded. One can enjoy the nice view from the top. There is an ample car parking available for no charge.
What a serene Monastery it is! My most favourite in Leh! Good number of steps to reach the top of the monastery. You can meet and talk with the monks here and expand your knowledge about Buddhism. The view from the monastery is amazing, you can see a different Leh! Please don't disturb the monks while they are praying. Also you can witness beautiful sunset from here.
Worth the hype. There are lunch and breakfast hours when one is not allowed inside. To be kept in mind, else it's a beautiful shrine. Keep it clean yo!
Breathtaking view with such peaceful environment. This place is something you'll never forget. Everyone in the monastery is very kind and helpful. Just sit and take a deep breath and enjoy .
The drive to the monastery is beautiful. Stunning sky views from the top. On climbing up, one can see the rich colors and cultured monks strolling around. The experience becomes better if you visit in the early morning (6am) and attend the prayers, where they also serve butter tea.
