Doodpathri is one of the Beautiful High range in Kashmir. It is a beautiful mountain landscape with pine valley and lush green meadows. It is surrounded with pure old villages! The Road to this beautiful place is surrounded with carpet like green meadow and pine forest! At top it offers beautiful view of the valley and mountain! And there is a lot of plane green meadow to sit and enjoy with family or friends
The forest is a vast expanse of trees. They benefit us in many ways, directly and indirectly. We can't deny the fact that we can't survive on earth in the absence of the forest. Forests are not only trees and plants, but also a storehouse of many useful organisms and medicinal plants. The trees in the forest take carbon dioxide for preparing their food and release oxygen. The other living beings use that oxygen in breathing. Thus, the trees are the most essential for life on earth. Forests serve as a home for many species of wild animals and birds. Hence, they are a great tool for preserving biodiversity, which is very important for maintaining a healthy environment. The woods are part of many household products like toothpaste, nail polish, medication, paint, etc. Many plants, trees, shrubs, and their fruits and flowers help in treating many deadly diseases. Forest helps much in balancing the weather condition. They control greenhouses gases and save earth from overheating. The biggest problem of global warming for the whole world can be solved only by forests. Forest saves us from many types of pollution like water pollution, air pollution, and soil pollution. They hold the upper layer of the soil tightly and save them from erosion. The nitrogen cycle in the soil is impossible without the trees. Forest is helpful in many ways and, the extensive use of its products in our life makes it most important for us to support and grow it.
A 2 hrs drive from Srinagar, apt for a day trip. Beautiful meadows, forest area, huts of the Gujar tribes, are all to behold. A pony takes through all the points, charges around 1-1.5k for approx 1.5-2 hrs ride. This place is closed during winter due to heavy snowfall. This is one of the less touristy spots but definitely not inferior to any other.
Amazing place. Not really very famous tourist spot. But worth going. Very different kind of place.
The place is amazingly beautiful, the meadows, woods n the crystal clear Doodganga river all real gifts from Allah. The Govt is not serious to develop this amazing place.
