Such a devotional place. You can feel that peace and positive energy. This place has its value and historic significant. You may feel peace as most people don't visit as it is 8km downstream to Guptkashi. I personally suggest you guys to visit such a beautiful peaceful and devotional place. You can feel the real peace. Kalimath located on the banks of Saraswati river. Kalimath is one of the 108 Shakti Peeths in India. Goddess Kali Temple is located in Kalimath. Legends believe that after killing devil Raktabij, Goddess Kali went underneath the ground at this place. A silver plate (Sri Yantra) covering a point where Goddess Kali entering the earth is worshiped by pilgrims and devotees. A Kali Mata Temple was built around the silver plate. The silver plate is never opened except on the eighth day of Navratri when Sri Yantra is taken out of the temple and only Chief Priest perform Puja at midnight. A Lakshmi Mata temple famous perpetual fire is also located near the Kalimath temple. Saint Kalidas, Vrati Baba were also worshiped Goddess Kali at same place. A Bhairav Baba temple is also a place of worship near Kalimath.
