Heritage property drained under water... should be saved
Great place to spend some time. It is easily accessible. The last 1km towards the church and parking of a four wheeler is a bit issue. You can plan and park smartly by asking localites. There are government buses but not advisable. No toilets.
Submerged church! Amazing sight on how man have impact on surroundings. Final approach of half km from village road to church is off-road. Don't try to take your car up to shore of Hemavathi reservoir. Car might get stuck. Bikes can go. If you're lucky, you may find a coracle guy taking you up to church in water. It is not developed as tourist place. No amenities whatsoever. You might need 5 to 15 minutes for visit.
A wonderful piece of historical architecture to behold. Wouldn't recommend going during the monsoon season as most of the church is submerged. Unfortunately, like most of our cultural heritage sites, this has become another garbage dump. Government needs to take some initiative to clean it up and make the pathway more accessible to the church
This is ruins of an old church. Good place to visit post December may be. But this place is famous for photoshoots. Through rainy and most of winders the church is submerged or flooded with water. These photos are from visit in October 2021
