The place is clean and the management is good, however the people sitting in the front force people to take the RTPCR test, saying "it's compulsory and if it's not done you cannot go inside to do the vaccination and here". Please keep in mind that, this is not the norm as per the govt rules. You DON'T NEED TO DO ANY RTPCR when going for vaccination, it's your choice if you want to take that extra test or not. If they force you or chase you out, create a ruckus and speak to the head doctor or the manager sitting in the next building. I guess these people sitting in the front are like agents and they make extra commission from these tests which they log into their records.
This PHC center is good but they force you to take RT PCR testing. Please note that it's not mandatory to take RT PCR testing for vaccination. As someone pointed out, these people are testing because they get commission per test. When they are questioned as to why they are forcing the testing, their standard response is "we are testing for your good only". As if we don't know what is good for us. The testing people are not authorised by any govt. They sit there on their own. Could be some lab people also for profit. Show them the appointment confirmation and ask them to show where it is written in that that testing is mandatory. Tell them you will raise a complaint if you are forced to test. Then they will let you in.
PHC is maintained well. It is large place with open area. Free vaccination center.
BBMP kept half knowledge people to drive the vaccination at this centre. Inspite of I have a slot booked online I was asked to take a token again. Slots show between 12 N to 430 anytime but none available between 1 to 230 Pm, they said it's lunch time. This is badly and poorly organised.
This place is really maintained well for covid vaccination. Well trained staff, systematic handling. One can get here for cost free and hassle free vaccination! Well done karnataka health ministry.
