It was a really good experience, the view is really nice and it's worth climbing the hill. My suggestion to those who wish to reach the hill top is, wear shoes with good grip.. the path a bit slippery and steep.

A massive fort complex with a long history being controlled by western Chalukyas, Vijayanagara empire, Qutub Shahis,Mughals,Marathas,Mysore and British .The treck is hard and one must be prepared with good shoes and refreshments. The treck is worth it as large sections of the fort are still intact with good views at the top.

It is more than expectation. Its a great treaking to the top and view is splendid. Although there are some damages caused to the Building but its still Mighty. Remember to take amble amount of water and make sure that you carry the bottles back. Once you explore the place you will come to know that Tipu Sultan was not just an ordinary man. There is around 10000 footsteps required to make a complete Visit and back. Use proper footwear as you may experience slipping due to softened paved rocks. It's a once in a lifetime must visit. There is no entry pass required only your ID is required. Remeber to visit the cemetery of British Officials whose Grandchildrens used to make a visit once in 2 to 3 years.
