The Ganga Ghat in Sultanganj is situated in Bihar. This is considered one of the oldest holly place from where Lord Shiva's devotees fetch water from sacred river Ganga and offer water to Vaidyanathan dham Devaghar district in Jharkhand. Devotees walk around 115 KM on bare foot after fetching water from Sultanganj Ganga ghat to the Babadham temple. It is said that the Shivalinga in Babadham temple was given by Lord Shiva himself to Ravana and while going to Lanka Ravana had to put the Shivalinga here and he could not lift up it and since then this temple is worshipped.
