One of the best place to visit, stay there , spend time and moreover to undergo different adventure courses at most economical and professional way. Kudos to sikkimese. The artificial wall over there was the best even better from IMF delhi.

Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure & Ecotourism (IHCAE), Chemchey is ideally located in the pristine mountains of the Central Himalaya on the lap of the world’s third highest peak, the majestic Mt. Khangchendzonga. IHCAE is the first institute of its kind in India to have achieved the remarkable feat of proudly unfurling the Institute flag on the “On the TOP of World” Mount Everest not once, not twice but thrice. And all this within four years of its inception (i.e. 7th Nov 2009). The mission of the centre is to initiate, develop and sustain the highest levels of excellence for adventure and eco-tourism through safe, environmentally responsible activities, to develop local skills and to sensitize on established traditions. How to Reach: By Air The closest Indian Airport is Bagdogra, 110 kms away from Chemchey. Scheduled flights operate to and from Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati and Bangalore. Taxi cabs can be availed at reasonable fares from the airport itself. By Train The closest rail station is at New Jalpaiguri(NJP) which is around 95 kms away from Namchi. It is a 12 minute route from Namchi to IHCAE Chemchey. It is connected to Kolkata, New Delhi, Guwahati and other major Indian cities. By Road Private Taxis, Jeeps and Buses ply regularly on the Chemchey - Namchi - Siliguri Highway. You may also contact & reserve the taxis from Tourist Department, Govt. of West Bengal, and Sikkim for local sightseeing at fixed rates.

Amazingly big place. It's got everything from trekking to paragliding. Hostel and guest house facilities. Adventure sports authentic all the way. Probably the biggest adventure institute in India. Just 6hrs drive from Siliguri or Bagdogra. Worth a stay and experience. Great for bikers, trekkers, camps and others alike. Totally secluded and serene.
