The lake is pretty good, but there is nothing much you can do there. A good place to spend a holiday with family. Kayaking and boating(coracle) is possible.
Natural lake with super views... Toilet facilities available.. tea shop and restaurant is there but only simple foods like meals for lunch.. tea, coffee, bread omlet and noodles are there in tea shop also packed cool drinks also available... Horse ride, boat rides are there in reasonable price... Entry ticket is must for above 5+ age... have to take ticket for camera also...
The most pleasant place to go and have a good view on real sceneries of nature... You also have a kayaking... Though be cautious towards the board point for boat or kayaking, it is very slippery
We went to visit Mannavanur Lake by car from Kodaikanal. The trip was through scenic beauty with good roads and a few bad patches. But the real threat I felt was that there were uprooted trees unattended blocking half the road. They suddenly crop up frightening you But the beauty of the place makes you forget other hardships. There is no car park. You have to park your car in open air. They said there was a jeep taking people from the ticket issuing place to Lake. But when we went there was no jeep, it was under repair. Without jeep, it is better not to go especially for elderly. The coracle trip was fantastic. The workers there very friendly and well behaved. Full marks there. It is definitely worth the trouble, with less crowd. Don't forget to take adequate water and snacks. They were very costly there. One definitely can have a great time. Good luck.
Lovely lake with a beautiful 360° view. Be prepared for a 10 min walk to get there. Walking shoes recommended !
