The Hojai Municipal Board is a very active and service oriented council. The councillors are all elected members. There are around 60 permanent staffs working to run the office. It is just 200 metres walking distance from Railway station and all the major offices of central as well as state government are located nearby to each other, the Hojai Police Station is just opposite to this office. This office serves as an administrator for all the municipal works falls under its jurisdictions .Trade, business, house building permissions are issued by this office only.
Worst... They give 1hr electricity n cut the electricity for more than 2 or sometimes 4 hrs worst experience ever
