Mukkur is the avatara sthalam of our acharya the 44th Srimad Azhagiasingar of Sri Ahobila Muth.i have come here with my father in 1975 to have darsan of Srimaf Azhagiasingar. We came to Cheyyar by bus from Chennai and went to Mukkur by the Muth's vehicle.It was Sri Nrisimha Jayanthi that day.We were given a house to stay and the people living there were kind and friendly.Evening we participated in the Nrisimha Jayanthi puja heard Srimad Azhagiasingar s Upanyasam on Nrisimha avatatam and had wonderful and huge variety of prasadams.The 2nd visit was 4 years back. The scenario had changed beyond recognition. The active agraharam was gone though the temple and Muth is in good condition. Wish we could make this holy spot accessible to more people and make it a pilgrimage centre.
