Why is this health centre giving very small numbers of Covid vaccinations? I cannot see this health centre listed on most days in the Cowin portal. They are not distributing covid vaccines in a transparent manner. I had to depend on an Asha worker and the Asha worker kept pestering me by saying she got my vaccination with great difficulty and thus implying I should pay her some bribe. It is her duty and she is not doing me a favour !!! They opened slots in the Cowin portal on Sep 7th and then opened only on Sep 16th and 17th. But I could see booking full for 14th and 15th in the portal. How is this possible? I think they are giving vaccines through the backdoor by getting money thru Asha workers and other agencies!! This is when I see all other PHCs in Trivandrum District open slots every day between 3 pm and 3.30 pm in Cowin Portal !!! Even for my first dose, I couldn't find any slot in the Cowin portal for this PHC, though I searched for a week and then I had to go to Pettah to get my shot !!!
Medical College has highly qualified Doctors for almost all departments, but very crowded most of the times.
New building opened. Clean atmosphere seen. Old buildings tobe renovated.
Decent place with sufficient parking facility. For Covid vaccination, after booking slot, one (representing family, if 2 or more members) should come to the centre at 8.30-9 am and collect token after showing the confirmatory message (on phone). Vaccination continues till 3-3.30 pm then accordingly, can come later and get the dose, as specified by health official.
