If you are passing by palakad town and have half hour with you. You can have a stop here. Otherwise there is nothing here. Some days back entrance is free. Now its by online ticketing through a government website. Inside an temple is situated which is open to locals, whatever its a historical place, maintaining well by authority. Good parking facility available which is paid one.
Truly well-maintained Fort! We visited in the morning between 9.30 am to 10.30 am on a Saturday. It was fairly crowded with visitors. There is a small Aanjaneya (Hanuman) Swami temple at the entrance of the fort where people left footwear outside. It did confuse us a bit since people were leaving footwear at the entrance of the fort. 😀 The fort also holds the Village Supply office in an old building but seems that it will be shifted and renovated soon. The man at the gate is a wonderful to talk to in order to understand the building. The landscape and the good old trees are very well maintained and a treat to the eyes. Parking for car costs around ₹20/- and entry fee is reasonable for adults. Overall, a time well-spent, especially for middle-school children.
A Well maintained Fort with large open areas inside. Nothing much to do inside but just walk and explore. Large lawns and huge trees which children will enjoy playing around in. Ample parking. In the entrance Moat check out the bale of turtles , it's an attraction. There is a Anjenya Swamy temple inside as well. Overall a good place to spend 2-3 hours with family for an outing. There is a separate garden and children's park as well just outside the fort for which you have to buy separate tickets.
Neat and clean. Good place to relax. crowded by evening. Still worth going. Side walkways still not open. Wish it also open soon
Nice place but its closed now due to lockdown
