Beautiful fort, a visit to the fort amazes me at the skill and architecture of ancient India and Indian of that time. So precisely it had been built without the modern machines and equipment. Indeed makes you proud of the heritage left by our ancestors. Cleanliness is highly maintained. Sad that could not visit the museum due to time constraints. Will come again. If you are in Kangra must visit place. The view from the fort, the beautiful mountains, the river, the cluster of parrots, the amazing sunset all of it is breathtaking. You can spend hours admiring the 360 degree view. Benches to rest every 50-100meters. Drinking water to refresh you. Clean washroom facility available. Thank you Himachal Pradesh authorities for maintaining it so beautifully.

Really a nice place surrounded by calm hilly terrain and meandering river encircling the fortress. Good place for couples, kids, friends groups and family. It has a Museum in the premises. Ticket is ₹20/ per head but only online buying is permitted. Sunset view is mesmerising. The silence and chirping of birds adds to tranquil environment. One can look at the high snowy high mountain views during winter. Must visit place while in Kangra.

It is in very big area so keep enough stamina to walk and enjoy every corner. Very nice place to visit especially to get snow filled mountains in background while clicking pictures. To read my blog follow the link 👇 tycoonarungovind.blogspot.com

The location is beautiful and strategic ( if we talk about that time). There is a deep valley from 3 sides. Small rivers flow through them. Not a large fort but of significant historical value.
