An amazing experience; a place within city limits where you can be close to nature. Great exposure for young kids. The staff at the zoo is hospitable and courteous. Online booking elevates your check in experience. The zoo is kept clean and maintained very well (water bodies could have been better; but then nothings perfect). Amazing to a lot of animals. Fun to be around. You can take the electric cart to go around the zoo (helpful for elderly folks) or some one who is not much of a walker
Nice place to visit. Kid just love it. But be prepared to walk long distance. Prefer take cart if you have kids with you. Spend time like picnic with food. Book tickets online and carry print out for faster process.
Nice zoo. Good variety and quantity of animals. Very big zoo. Takes lots of time and energy to explore it completely. Keep your food items and water with you. You can take them in adjoining and then keep exploring. One can get tired while continuously exploring zoo. You can go for jungle safari as well. This is a separate segment of zoo. You can come here in morning and then keep exploring while eating. Parking facility is good but lit of cars are there on weekends. I think good place to enjoy and spend your time in nature.
It is a very beautiful place to go alone or with family. I took my family here and we had a lot of fun. Kids friendly and environment friendly place it is. So beautiful all around, nature at it's best. It's a very big place so we got to sit in safari type trains and we moved here n there while watching all animals around. It's safe for animals as well, they get to live in there natural habitat and not in cages. Animals seemed happy and playing a lot. Even birds there have so much space they don't look like they are in zoo. Peacocks were so beautifully dancing when we visited. It's a must visit place when you are in Punjab. It's chilly in evening due to so many trees so better take a shawl with you.
Nice place to visit especially for school going children. Although all the basic amenities are there for visitors still some improvement needed. White tiger and Bengal Tiger are main attraction points for visitors. Lion safari, Deer Safari and some other parts of the zoo are not functional due to covid. Inside Canteens too not functioning in pandemic. One can book tickets online to avoid queue at ticket counter. Ticket price Rs 100 for adults and Ts 50 for below 12 yrs. No ticket required for below 3 yrs. Battery vehicles are available @ Rs 60 per head to visit inside zoo. But one should try to enjoy this approx 5km visit by foot to see each n every point. Various types of birds too available there. Overall a good weekend trip.
