According to a mandate dated 15-02-1968, Recruitment Training School, Moradabad was established in 16-02-1968 for the basic training of Constable in Uttar Pradesh Police force. Head of the Institute was appointed Commandant (Principal) level officer. According to another mandate Dated 17-12-1977 Recruitment Training School, Moradabad was upgraded to Police Training College (II), Moradabad for the purpose training of Sub Inspector.
