A vast place but outsiders aren't allowed to go without permission with tight security.....but the environment there is good
Nicely built. A welcome design to invite people into its campus. Located in Pulibor, earlier it was Regional Research Laboratory (RRL) which was renamed as North East Institute Of Science and Technology (NEIST). It is one of the pride institutes of North East India. Do have a visit.
North East Institute of Science and Technology (formerly Regional Research Laboratory), Jorhat, Assam - 785006, a constituent establishment of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, has been engaged in multidisciplinary R&D work relevant to the country in general and North Eastern Region in particular. It has 7 R&D divisions. It has very good infrastructure and beautiful campus. NEIST is a full-fledged multidisciplinary research institution having research areas like Advanced Computation and Data Science, Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Infectious disease, Communicable and Non- communicable disease, Medicinal, Aromatic and Economic plants, Geosciences, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Applied Civil Engineering Chemical Engineering, General Engineering, Cellulose, Membrane technologies, Pulp and Paper, Material Science, Coal, etc.
