It's a beautiful place surrounded by lush green forest.A road from banikhet goes down to khairi which takes you to a hydro power station & kendriya Vidyalaya.It is somewhat hot during summer as it is situated around 30 km down the valley.It has breathtaking views once you start descending. There is no hotel available there to spend night except some small dhabhas.A restaurant called Aeon is also there which offers so so food & snacks.
Outstanding educational institute. Affiliated to CBSE board it have all the facilities a kendriya vidyalaya should have. Very supportive teachers and sub-staff. Awesome environment and scenes around.
