I am writing this review with heavy disappointment. We received lot of good feedback for carmel school and admitted my kid pre-kg. Due to pandemic, the classes are being conducted online. I feel the school is not equipped to take online classes for the kids starting school this year. The kids don't have any idea of what a school is and the teachers are just another face in the screen. This requires them to engage the kids heavily through innovative props etc. What I instead see is that college style lectures being delivered without much interaction with the kids. Also, they are not taking in to account who is falling back or needs attention. Its all dumped on parents. These kids needs to be engaged 1 on 1 sometimes from the teacher but that rarely happens. Few kids who are smart enough to repeat what the teacher says is brought in to limelight. I am not evaluating the competency of the teachers because I am sure they have decades of experience teaching kids but they are just simply not equipped to take the teaching online for these little ones. I am giving the benefit of doubt to see how it progresses the rest of the year, if it does not improve then i will have to shift his school since there is no real learning happening. They need to understand that they have to prepare the kids for the machine learning era and what can be repeated will be replaced by a computer.
The best teaching faculty and even icse syllabus is very easy as the teachers train them so effectively.

Maintenance of washrooms are just disgusting except for teacher toilet. But the way teachers from kindergarten to primary teachers, the way they teach the children is just amazing. When we parents ask the children something they are able to answer in a split of a second. This shows how much effort the teachers take. It's really a great school ☺
