To foster a tradition of "learning beyond classrooms", Nachiar Vidyalayam Matriculation School, Zamin Uthukuli, Pollachi, recently started the Nachiar Academy for Performing Arts (NAPA). This academy will see children learn through music, fine arts and performing arts. The kids will be trained in art, music, dance, drama, craft, martial arts and various skill development activities. Also, students from the school demonstrated the traditional sport of Mallakhamb at the Independence Day programme held at VOC Ground.
