One of the Oldest college in erode .for long period building s are not renovated.if it renovated it could be seems good.lot of local people came to study.low fees.bustop nearer to college.
This college offers UG and PG courses apart from Research Programmes . UG courses are offered in the following disciplines. B.A, B.B.A, B.COM , B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology . PG courses offered are in Economics, Physics and Zoology . M.Phil and Doctoral programmes are also offered. The college is situated atop a small hillock . Another small hillock exist on it's right . Naturally trees and greenery can be seen on it's entire campus . I studied there doing my PRE UNIVERSITY COURSE , equivalent to the + 2 of today and completed my Under Graduation in B.Sc ( Chemistry) in the year 1968 to 1971. A learned Educationalist Shri. Ananthapadhmanabha Nadar was my Principal. A terror filled personality Shri .J.S.A .ALAN happened to be the Head of Zoology Department . He is strict to the core and a disciplinarian to the hilt . He commanded so much of respect and fear that we attended his classes with devotion and fervour. Those are golden days in my life . The atmosphere of the college was conducive to learning . I attended the college as a hostelier and the food offered at the hostel mess was great . The college then was for men , but now I think it is co- education and a government aided college. It was founded in the year 1954 . It was the only college in Erode which was then part and parcel of COIMBATORE district. I think VASAVI COLLEGE then started functioning in a private building in METTUR road . I LOVED MY COLLEGE THAT SHAPED MY LIFE . ONLY SO I AM OFFERING 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ RATING TO MY BELOVED INSTITUTION. Good environment. Many states level and central level examinations are also being conducted here. Had a good experience in this college. The infrastructure is little bad as 67 years old. Good green belt around the college with lot of tree that reduces the external sounds. The college is also elevated to top level from the city.
32 years i served in this college. So many students of this college are now in good positions. i feel glad to see them. The great Police officer Mr.K.Vijayakumar served in this institution teaching English to the students some years ago. Some entered politics and became as Ministers. Now this is a co-educationl institution.The fees are normal. Best wishes .
