Panchayat school of Ammapalayam that belongs to Chennimalai Union.School is functioning from 1963.At that time it was a primary school(upto 5 standard).In 1997 it became middle school(upto 8th standard).From 2011 it is functioning as a high school(upto 10 standard).No good playground is available.Parking facility is okay.When the school became high school the primary(upto 5 th) and high school(from 6th to 10th ) started functioning separately.Most of the students are from Ammapalayam and some students are coming from Chennimalai also.The primary school is having nearly 130 students and teaching staffs available are 5 which includes the HM.The high school is having nearly 170 students and 11 teaching staffs including lab assistant,PT staff and Head master.School is situated on Arachalur road.5 years ago,i.e 2013 English medium got started.Only primary school is having English medium.From next year,it seems that high school will also start English medium.The quality of education is very good as students are coming from 7 km away also,eventhough other schools are available nearby.
