#School_start_1966 (#Established_on_1966) Government Hr.Sec.School - Pannaipuram, Theni-DT. The school was initially run as a high school near the Padmavathi Vadivelu Hall in Pannapuram, and later due to the lack of a playground for the students, a new playground with 3 playgrounds was constructed near Kariyanampatti on the way to Rettalamaram (Buffalo Pond) at the foot of the Pannapuram West Continuum Mountain with the school playground. It was then arranged for the students to come back to the school where the old school was functioning again due to the zealous efforts of the people of Pannapuram village and some others for the benefit and safety of all the teachers and students going to and from school. This made it easier for students to get to school by reducing the distance students travel. The same school building was later upgraded to a secondary school in 2001-2002. After that, some repair work was done on the donated land with government funds and a new building was erected. In addition to the large number of students and the lack of a playground, the new science classroom with more classrooms for students, a new building built in conjunction with a small playground with the idea of playing inside the school, has been built in the last 10 and 12 years due to the academic ability of well-trained teachers and excellent students.
