Higher Secondary School - situated at a nice, remote but well connected place. There are proper accomodations for students. The playground is big and nice. Boundary wall is an urgent need. There are "nearly 1700" students in this school in the academic year of 2019.

Somruk Sital Chandra Instituion was founded in the year 1947 by Late Jitendranath Parui. The school is situated in remote area of Howrah district. It plays a great role in providing educational facilities to backward classes and minority groups. The school is affiliated to WBBSE and WBCHSE. It has Humanities sections only in HS level offering subjects like Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Education, Philosophy and Arabic. The school has mid-day meal facility between class group of V - VIII. It also arranges for different grants like Kanyashree, Sobuj Sathi etc. to facilitate students. The school gives emphasis on sports, specially on Kho Kho, Kabadi and Athletics. Several students get their chance to compete at the district level every year. Presently, the school has around 2000 students on overall basis. It also has 27 assistant teachers, 5 para-teachers and 5 non teaching staffs excluding teacher-in-charge. The extended greenish playground of the school is quite famous among the nearby dwellers. Though the school is not well-communicated, it surely can be reached from Uluberia / Birshibpur Railway Station (SER) within an hour catching an auto or bus.
