The Pandemic changed everything. As a student of this school for 13 years, I can confirm that the school changed with the pandemic. The school switched to online classes (a month before other schools) when the lock down had begun. For a while, online classes feel very good, but on a long term, they can be extremely depressing. If online classes are still going on, please do not send your child to this school. It is a very demotivating experience. • Students must spend a minimum of 7 hours staring at the screen. • Teachers expect students to study for 8 hours every day, even after all the online classes • The five minute break between classes is snatched by pretty much every teacher. • Students have to beg for holidays, Saturdays used to be off, however now, they aren’t. In some cases, even Sundays and days of festivals are not off. • Some teachers have become more demotivating than ever. • Assignments are never ending, and the due period is very short. • Teachers prioritize exams over students’ mental health and concerns. • Information about exams or projects is either delayed or ambiguous. Every teacher has different information. Students always have to worry what to do, thus increasing the workload and declining the students' mental health. • A new affiliation with 'euro school' has made everything bad for us, students. This school used to be a cozy, positive and fun environment. The teachers were friendly and the fun with friends is incomparable. However, I am unaware how online classes will change normal school. This is my unbiased review of the school. This review is from the point of view of a high school student, I am unaware of how online school is going on with younger children, hence I recommend getting a review from a parent of a younger child going through online classes if your child is not in high school.
Good education
Very rude staff members. High fee structure but education is not worth it. They do not teach basic discipline and manners to students. Too much partiality. They care about MONEY MONEY and ONLY MONEY.
They just ask for money for the bus whether the kids are attending the school or not. Full amount, even though the school is 2 days a week, to be paid for the entire year when nobody knows whether there is a lockdown in future.
cambridge public school HSR layout is medium quality school. The best part is its Location which is more convenient. They are established now hence the transportation and other infrastructure is in place. If your ward is self driven, school is ok, if the ward needs extra attention / motivation / push , this is NOT THE SCHOOL. The other infrastructure is Teaching staff - they have excess supply from local IT , BT professionals whos spouse who do not have work at home will join here as teachers. 75% of teachers are of this range. Another 15% are GOOD QUALITY TEACHERS. Balance 10% are useless . most of them take HOME TUTIONS and this teaching is a SECOND INCOME for them. Sports is a neglected part here, only those who have talent have shined in this school , but without any infra / support from institute. They also collect HUGE DONATION without any receipt / accounting. you need to pay in cash. This comment is based on my personal interaction as a parent having attended PTA meetings regularly on ALL 11 years .
